Editorial plans for 2010

We have been working on what to provide our readers  in 2010 and finally come up with a guide to what we will be covering – we want to cover sporting topics that people will want to read, find interesting and will recommend to their friends so if you have any suggestions we would love to hear.

So here we go with some new topics

  • “Sports aggregation….” - we are bringing all the top sports news feeds and blogs so you can get a variety of quick view news in your sport – updated as the news happens!
  • “Daily sport blogging….” we will look to cover the daily sports news (live headlines are streamed on our site here) but with our sideways view, interesting angles and personal thoughts.
  • Sporting events profiling….” in the run up to the major sporting events we will look at what we might expect to see and happen, who are the influencing sports people and their current form.
  • “In years past….” we will also look at the events in the past highlighting the news from that event say 20, 30 or whatever years before
  • “Sporting heroes….” we will profile the heroes from the past, what they have achieved, how they achieved it, what was the person like and what are they doing now.  As we cover all sports the list will be endless.
  • “Live Events….” we are partnering with sports events around the world and streaming posts through a ‘Live sports feed’
  • “Guest bloggers….” who are authoritive in their sporting field will come to the site and give us their topical thoughts.
  • “Corporate sports blogs….” we are inviting sports organisations and companies to come to the site and tell us about their products, events and services i.e coaches will bring their thoughts on diet and conditioning etc. You will be able to check out their profile to see if they have authority (we only want the best to write for us though)

So expect a lot from Sporting Communities in 2010, be proactive in giving us feedback and suggestions and we will deliver what you want – tell your friends and invite them to be part of our community!
